FAT TRANSFER

Fat Transfer is our preferred method for Butt Augmentation. It’s a more natural way to increase the size of the buttock and give an overall more shapely silhouette to the body. Often called “Butt Injections” or the “Brazilian Butt Lift”; this procedure essentially sculpts the body by removing fat from the abdomen and transferring that fat to the buttocks to achieve a more feminine "hour-glass" figure.

During treatment, “spare” or excess fat is removed via liposuction from areas such as the front, sides, and back of the abdomen (creating a flatter abdomen and smaller waistline) and the fat is injected into the buttocks to enhance the size and shape of the buttocks. By utilizing the body's own tissue, you don't have to worry about an allergic reaction or a "foreign-body" reaction that are possible with fillers or implants. Bruising, swelling, and discomfort are to be expected after this procedure, with an average recovery time of 2-4 weeks (depending on the individual).

For natural looking and permanent results, Fat Transfer is the BEST option for many who want to have a more shapely derriere. What is also nice about Butt Augmentation with Fat Transfer is it’s really two procedures done in one session, resulting in:

1. slimming the abdomen,

AND

2. adding volume to the buttocks

For an overall Sexier Looking - Feminine Figure.

BUTT IMPLANTS

Butt (Gluteal) implant surgery is an alternate procedure used to enhance the size and shape of the buttocks. Gluteal implants are completely different from breast implants which are fluid-filled sacks. Buttock implants are solid silicone products that are very soft and available in a variety of shapes and sizes. These implants are designed to look and feel like your natural body.

Butt implant surgery is a lengthy procedure that requires general anesthesia. Once the patient is safely asleep, a 2-3 inch incision is created between the buttocks and the midline. Thru this incision, the gluteus maximus (butt muscle) is lifted up to create a pocket large enough to hold the implant. The implant is then positioned until it appears most natural and the process is then repeated for the opposite side. Since this area of the body is required for the majority of body movements (i.e. walking, sitting, etc.), severe discomfort for the first few days after surgery is to be expected. Recovery time is usually between 3-6 weeks.

Due to the fact that butt implant surgery comes with higher risks for complications (i.e. implant slippage, infection, nerve damage, etc) than fat transfer, we recommend Butt implant surgery ONLY for individuals who do not have enough body fat for Fat Transfer.

FILLERS

Butt augmentation can also be achieved non-surgically with the use of injectable fillers. The ideal filler for Butt augmentation would be a filler that is safe, permanent, and fills the buttocks in a way that looks and feels natural. Currently, the only permanent filler that is FDA approved in the U.S. is Artefill. Artefill is a brand of "PMMA" (polymethyl-methacrylate) fillers. However, for the amount of volume needed for most butt augmentations, the cost to use Artefill is prohibitive for most people (over $100,000.) For this reason, there is a search for more affordable permanent fillers to use for Butt augmentation. Outside of the United States, other brands of PMMA fillers have been used such as Hydrogel™, Metacrill™, and NewPlastic™.

At one time, Hydrogel was the most frequently used PMMA for Butt augmentation because it produced nice aesthetic results at an affordable price. However, severe complications started to occur and it was subsequently banned. Metacrill and New Plastic are PMMA fillers frequently used in South America and Mexico. Silicone has also been used as a filler because of it's low cost. However, silicone has long been known to be hazardous to the body and therefore should NEVER be injected into the body.

There are many cases where patients are safely getting butt augmentation done with PMMA fillers and with good cosmetic results, performed by licensed and board certified physicians outside of the U.S. The reason why these procedures are being performed more outside of the U.S. is simply because it is more affordable. The cost for supplies and labor are typically less expensive in many countries outside the U.S. In addition, it typically takes millions of dollars and several years of administrative hurdles to get a new medication, such as an affordable permanent filler, FDA approved in the U.S. So in the meantime, people are getting butt augmentation with fillers in the U.S. "underground" (with illegal fillers) or they are going outside of the America to get this procedure done.

Whether performed in the U.S. or abroad, it is important to go to a physician you trust, that is licensed and ethical. Choose a physician that has a proven track record for providing good aesthetic results and uses techniques and supplies that are safe.

THE DANGERS OF BUTT AUGMENTATION

The most dangerous butt augmentation procedures are being performed by non-medical people, who are injecting hazardous materials into the buttocks of individuals at non-medical facilities. In recent news, there has been several cases reported in which people became seriously ill, disfigured, or died as a result of injections of silicone into their buttocks by non-medical individuals. These “Butt shots” are secretly promoted as “plumping parties” and are often performed at discreet locations such as hotel rooms.

Anyone who goes to these "underground" operations are seriously risking their lives. These treatments are often administered by unscrupulous individuals who lure clients with lies about their medical experience. Many of these individuals have NO formal medical experience! These opportunists often inject unsafe materials into their clients' buttocks such as petroleum jelly, bathroom silicone, tire sealants, and battery acids. These types of “Butt shots” are dangerous and have been known to cause severe infections, disfiguration, respiratory illness and death.

LIPOTHERAPY

LipotherapyQ. What is Lipotherapy?

Lipotherapy is a non-surgical treatment used to reduce fat. During treatment, a phosphatidylcholine based medication is injected directly into unwanted fat. The body uses this medicine to metabolize stubborn fat and cause the treated area to reduce in size. The ideal candidate is a person that is in good health, exercises regularly, and is within 25 lbs of their ideal body weight. Lipotherapy is NOT for weight reduction.

Q. What areas can be treated?

Lipotherapy can be done on areas where deposits of fat have not responded well to diet & exercise. The most popular areas for treatment include the abdomen, under the jaw (“double chin“), sides of jaw line (“jowls”), mid-back (“bra rolls”), waist, (“love handles”), under buttocks (“banana roll”), under eyes (“eye bags”) and outer thighs (“saddle bags”). See Photo Gallery

Q. How many treatments do I need?

The number of treatments vary per individual and may depend on the area(s) being treated. As many as 4-sessions (one every 2 to 4 weeks) may be necessary to achieve improvement. As a rule, men typically need more treatments that women.

Q. What is the recovery period like?

Lipotherapy does not require hospital admittance, general anesthesia, or downtime. Therefore, recovery is fairly quick. You may resume normal activities directly after treatment. Several days afterwards, you can expect to experience temporary swelling or soreness of the treated areas. This can be reduced by wearing a firm, compression garment for comfort and support.
